The Inter-House Waste Segregation Relay was conducted on 26 September 2026 at P.S.S.E.M.R. School, Tolahunse, Davangere. The competition was organised to create awareness among students about the importance of proper waste segregation and responsible waste-management practices.
The event provided students with an opportunity to learn through an engaging, activity-based competition. Participants representing the four houses—Gandhi, Raman, Tagore, and Vinobha—took part enthusiastically. The relay encouraged students to identify and sort waste appropriately while developing quick decision-making, coordination, and environmental responsibility.
The participating teams demonstrated teamwork, alertness, and a willingness to follow instructions. The activity highlighted how simple everyday actions, such as separating different types of waste, can help maintain cleanliness and protect the environment. The competitive format made the learning experience enjoyable and encouraged students to apply environmental awareness in their daily lives.

Inter-house competitions also promote teamwork, cooperation, discipline, quick thinking, and healthy competition. By participating in practical activities, students gain a clearer understanding of how individual actions contribute to a cleaner school and a healthier environment. Such experiences strengthen environmental awareness and encourage students to practise responsible waste disposal at school and at home.
