OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Music Competition was organized to encourage students to develop their interest and appreciation for music while providing them with a platform to showcase their vocal abilities. The competition aimed to enhance students’ confidence, expression, rhythm, melody and presentation skills. It also encouraged students to overcome stage fear, develop concentration and discipline, and express themselves creatively through music. The activity promoted healthy competition, teamwork, respect for fellow participants and active participation in inter-house activities.


COMPETITION DETAILS

The Inter-House Music Competition was conducted for students of Classes I to V – CAIE on 05 September 2026 in the Music Room. Students from the four houses participated enthusiastically and presented their musical performances before the judge.

The participants were evaluated on four major criteria: Melody, Rhythm, Expression and Presentation, with a maximum of 10 marks. The students displayed enthusiasm, confidence and a keen interest in music throughout the competition.

ACHIEVEMENT

Gandhi House emerged as the strongest-performing house in the Music Competition, securing the first, second and fourth positions. Adaya D. R. of Class III A secured the first position with a perfect score of 10/10, demonstrating excellent performance across melody, rhythm, expression and presentation.

Likith M. S. of Class I A, also representing Gandhi House, secured the second position with 9/10. Dhananjay of Class II A from Raman House secured the third position with 8/10, while Shobhashree of Class III A from Gandhi House secured the fourth position with 7/10.

The results reflected the students’ musical talent, confidence and enthusiasm for performing on stage.


CONCLUSION

The Inter-House Music Competition for Classes I to V – CAIE was successfully conducted on 05 September 2026 at the Music Room. The competition provided students with a meaningful opportunity to showcase their musical talents and develop important skills such as rhythm, expression, confidence, concentration and presentation.

The enthusiastic participation of the students made the event engaging and successful. Gandhi House emerged as the leading house, securing three of the four positions, including the first position. The competition also encouraged students to appreciate music, perform confidently and participate positively in inter-house activities.

The school appreciates the efforts of all the participating students, the judge, house representatives and staff members for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the competition.
