OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Monologue Competition was organized to provide students with a platform to develop their communication and dramatic expression skills. The activity aimed to enhance students’ confidence, voice modulation, expression, creativity and stage presence. It encouraged students to express ideas and emotions effectively through individual performances while developing clarity of speech, content presentation and audience engagement. The competition also helped students overcome stage fear, improve concentration and develop self-discipline. Furthermore, it promoted healthy competition, appreciation of individual talent and active participation in inter-house activities.

COMPETITION DETAILS

The Inter-House Monologue Competition was conducted for students of Classes I to V – CAIE on 29 August 2026. Students from the four houses participated in the competition and presented individual monologues before the judges.

The performances were evaluated on four criteria: Expression (3 marks), Voice (2 marks), Confidence (3 marks) and Content (2 marks), with a maximum of 10 marks.

The participants demonstrated enthusiasm and confidence while presenting their performances. The activity provided a valuable opportunity for students to express themselves creatively and develop their public-speaking and presentation abilities.

ACHIEVEMENT

Vinobha House secured the first position in the Inter-House Monologue Competition, with Adharsh of Class V scoring 4.5/10. Raman House performed strongly by securing both the second and third positions, with Kritharth of Class III scoring 2.5/10 and Ruthvik of Class III scoring 1.5/10, respectively.

The performances reflected the students’ willingness to participate, express themselves confidently and develop their communication and presentation skills. The competition provided an encouraging platform for students to explore their creativity and improve their stage presence.

CONCLUSION

The Inter-House Monologue Competition for Classes I to V – CAIE was successfully conducted on 29 August 2026 with enthusiastic participation from the students. The competition provided a meaningful platform for students to express themselves through individual performances and develop important skills such as confidence, voice modulation, expression, creativity and effective communication.

The activity successfully encouraged students to overcome stage hesitation and present their ideas before an audience. Vinobha House emerged as the winner, while Raman House secured the second and third positions. The participation of students from different houses reflected the spirit of healthy competition and active involvement in co-curricular activities.

The school appreciates the efforts of all participating students, judges, house representatives and staff members for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the competition.
